Hi. I stayed in small budget hotel in Yogya (off Jl Marlioboro) with my Indonesian partner last year. We were never asked for any type of marriage certificate or questioned about anything like that. There are not so many bule there so you will get a few more stares than in Bali, but you will have a lovely time there. It is different to Bali so enjoy the different culture etc. Have a great holiday.
