in a wheel chair because if you damage your big toe, it can cause you to loose your balance.
My husband had his foot and 1/2 leg put in a cast after dropping something on his toe, resulting in his toenail being removed.
(I felt really bad for laughing at the time, when they said he needed to have a cast, I thought they were joking!lol)
