If it was forseeable, if it was due to negligence, if there was any contribution by the person affected etc etc.
Do I think it's worth taking it further??
As far as litigation against the hotel is concerned, personally I would not.
I would be complaining bitterly about the pain, and how this can only be relieved by copious quantities of my favourite drink.....at the right price, however.
I would certainly be documenting everything, in case of any complications, but I would try to make the best of my bad luck and target my insurance company upon return.
I would try to make the best possible out of the holiday that I had looked forward to, with a view to seeking some sort of compensation later....at home.
I hope she is OK and all works out well.
