In Bali last trip while at Secret Garden Inn we encountered a feral Pommy guy from Perth who would have been 50+. Never ever in many trips had this kind of problem there.
He "homed in" on our 67 year old friend and made some really off comments. He was drinking all day, having a wine or two with breakfast and was noisy on his porch at 4 5 and 6 in the morning. The impression we got was that in his drunkenness he thought she should be flattered by the attention. She wasn't, nor the other lady he persisted in hanging around like an annoying fly at a BBQ until whe began taling about her non existant husband back in NZ. We just brushed it aside until.....

My friend became very sick and in fact ended up in hospital but while the doctor and his nurse were examining her there was a knock on the door and when I opened it it was him. I told him, or tried to that she was sick and the doc was there but he pushed past me into her room and stood wobbling around over her drivelling the proverbial you know what. I told him to bugger off and pretty much pushed him out of the room. There she was in her jim jams sick and the medical staff were standing there gobsmacked. The Doc had a needle in his hand poised to stab and if he had been 20 seconds later it would have been in her rear when he burst in!!!

Naturally feeling quite protective of my sick friend. I marched over to his veranda and told him to stay away from her. He told me he was not my husband (praise the Lord, I said) and that I could not tell him what to do. Drawing a bit of attention from the other guests by now so I left with a final "Do not go near her room. Do not set foot on her balcony. Do not even speak to her."

Then I did what I should have done all along and went and told the manager what had happened. Apparently he had already been warned about the noise. Then up rocks waste of space and starts to have a go at me (apparently it was all my fault. God what an intolerant ***** I am). I just kept telling him to Back off until he did.

Now here is the difference from the treatment you received at your hotel. Made the very efficient manager at SGI told me later that he had told waste of space that if there was any more noise or one more guest complaint he would be told to leave the hotel and that he was not to go near my friend's room at all or he would be asked to leave

Now that to me was a very good handling of my complaint by SGI.
