to get 'blind' and behave this way is beyond me!! Over the years we too have witnessed terrible behaviour by all sorts...what really gets me is when they treat the balinese people like they are inferior! I tell all our friends that I believe it is a wonderful experience to go to Bali and learn from the Balinese, eg: patience, family values etc...I know our kids only benefited from travelling to Bali from young ages!
Sometimes it truly is embarrassing to be an aussie in Bali (well not only Aussie as other people from other countries can be just as bad)...we have since discovered Balian, wow how nice is this place, definately havent seen the 'bogans' up there...but we always head back to Kuta to see family friends we have had for years...we now organise parties at thier local villages and the appreciation they always show brings me to tears, yep I cry everytime we leave...the key word is RESPECT and unfortunately something has happened to 'some' of our young people & they dont seem to know the true meaning of respect :((
