We stayed there 2009, going back again in July to stay again.
For use they suited our need brilliantly with location and size of our family group but that said this is our eighth trip to Bali, I would probably recommend somewhere a bit more main stream as this is your first time but that really does depend on size and age of family. Do check the location of wikimapia, do a search for Kuta Royal Villas and you can see exactly the location.
