Better late than never I suppose.
Flew AA to Sanur stayed at Swastika Bungalows which was for the 9 days well and truly adequate without being spectacular. Anhyway who wants to spend all day stuck in a room in bali when there is more to see and do outside your room.
It is supposed to be the rainy season but only 1 half day of rain with a few 1/2 hour bursts spread across the nine days. It was great to see rain after such a long dry in Perth.
Great food always to be found along the beach and the main street. Benno's always good on the beach. Ratatouille great food as always. Picadilly great pizza again. While in Sanur we visited the best bar on the beach at the bottom of the Gazebo Hotel nearly every night from 4pm to closing depending on the day. Tell the barman that Andrew and Darcy sent you and he will look after you. The best bar tender on the Sanur beach second to none with great food to boot.

Went to Dr Rudi dentist at Galeria Mall great work and a superbly set up dentist. He has put some of the dentist places I have been to in Australia to shame. Fillings for me and the wife and the daughter had a full set of porcelians done couldn't be happier. She has a beautiful white smile again.

The markets again are always a pressure place to buy especially with it being quiet. A few bargains again to be had but also the big mainstream surf shops with 50% - 80% off were well and truly worth the visit. When quiet they all feel the pinch too.
Went to Kuta for a look again and it was again so busy and every where you walked you were hassled to buy something.

Went up to Ubud via Celuk and look at all the silver places at their amazing jewelry. Sulawesi markets near Celuk also worth the visit with a bit of hassle I still enjoyed checking out the market. There is 3 of them but we asked to go to the biggest one. Got to Ubud had a lunch looking out across the rice feilds. Can't remember the name of the restrauant now. Went to the Monkey forest which was awesome and as long as you respected them in the own place it was cool. One tourist smiled and when the monkey bared his teeth the tourist did it too at which point the monkey charged him. Do not ever do this to a monkey as it is seen as a threat.

Bali Safari park was great got there at 10am left at 3.30pm. The baby Orangatan was very cute, the python was creepy but amazing to hold also. The elephants were worth the ride and the little elephant was pretty cool. Rode a camel that was short and bumby. White tigers are beautiful and the safari area well worth the ride around. Ate lunch looking out the glass window at the lions which was a weird feeling in some ways as you felt they might be thinking you would make a good lunch too. The park was well worth the visit. Turtle Island was worth the visit as well.

Other than that it was great to be back in Bali relaxing and enjoying the company of the most smiling and gracious people you could find anywhere. Bali is a most amazing place, with amazing people and I will be back again soon to share time with them all again. Miss Bali but back to work to save for the next trip.
