You may remember 2 weeks ago I asked for help as my son in law needed a new passport urgently as he didn't have the valid 6 months for entry. He managed to pay and change flights and got his passport actually on the same day, but to be sure he did pay to change the flights.
Well Saturday the 26 Feb I get a call from my son in law saying my daughter had taken ill and wanted her mum to come to bali. So I did what a mother does and book a flight for the next day and to go to her rescue.
On arriving I noticed how unwell she was, so I asked what was wrong and she said Bali belly, well I could sort that out as I had the medication, so I gave her the stemitil and thought by the morning she will be okay, after waiting a while she seemed settled, so I went up to my room to bed.
Well about 1.00am in the morning there was a loud knock at my door and it was her husband, asking me to come quick, so I ran down the stairs and there she was both ends working at the same time, I rushed to reception and asked for them to call the doctor, he came within 5 minutes Bali Padma Clinic.
They gave her 2 needles, some tablets and she seemed to settle, so of to bed I went. In the morning she seemed a little better and she just wanted to sleep, so I left her there with her husband as I had to go to Denpasar to order some things.
When I came back she still seemed okay taking her tablets, so I thought yes she is on the mend, I asked if she was hungry and she said a little so we went down do tea at about 6 oclock.
She ordered couldn't eat it and said she was going back to the room, so her husband went with her and I said I'll see you in the morning.
Well at 12.30am same knock at the door, out of bed this time i got dressed and went down to find her in a worst state than the night before, this time I was taking her to the SOS hospital, they examined her and ran some test and gave her another needle but advised she return home to go and see her own doctor.
Her husband rang air asia straight away from the hospital and booked flights to go home early next day. Although she felt better in the morning, husband was now feeling really sick too but off to the airport they went and home.He did have Bali belly and was sick for 3 days.
Now when I booked my ticket I booked it to stay 5 nights, so I had 3 whole days and nights in Bali leaving the Friday 4th March.
I guess I ended up having a great 3 days in Bali, Massages, facials, feet, body scrubs, hair treatments, it was all about me, I came home totally relaxed and I had one of the best times ever in Bali.
Now I stayed at the Kumala Pantai used their own Spa facilities as I was on my own and didn't want to venture out to far.
I ate at Yutz, Seaside, Bali Bakery, Tommy's for lunch and Kumala which was the worst meal I had in Bali.
The rate was between 8800-8910.
Blue bird taxis still great for transport.
It rained most days and poured at night, only one day did it not rain during the day, I didn't have one swim, water far to cold for me.
Overall the island seemed quit.
I did go to Centro, Bali Galleria for a look see bought 2 pairs of shoes could of bought 100 but stopped as 2, picked up my things in Denpasar.
So Overall a very nice holiday at such short unexpected notice.
