I've been using mine for a couple of years now with a Bali sim, it is so easy, connect to internet quickly at free wifi places, quick check back home to make sure kids okay, check forums for info you might need but forgot to write down. At night, when back at hotel, I can write a whole letter in notes then when in an internet friendly (free) place send it via email. Texts are as per usual. AND if you cannot get to an internet friendly place you can use the sim in your phone, of course that is a little more costly!
