Lets try to be nice to each other huh?
If my initial post seemed 'conceited' and,as you said, irked you then I shall apologise unreservedly.
Firstly I will not post on this, or any other site, the means as to how I carry in extra alcohol undetected. If I were to and some/most/lots or everyone were to copy the means as to how I do it, it's quite possible customs/immigrasi may catch on to it. We do not know if there are any Bali officials scrutinising this site yes? And then I would lose 'benefit'.
Secondly, the concept of this site I could possibly compare to 'the book',to some 'the bible' of travel-the travel guides that really are a scourge to travellers. The LP.
Over the years of my travels, I search out the best possible price for the best type of accomodation/meals/services I require. Many many times (in Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam mainly) I have 'discovered' some hidden gems only to find when I go back later that some 'idiot' who also found these guesthouses/hotels/restaurants also just so happened to advise LP (I expect to gain some social status by getting their name in the publication). So, when I return they are often full and prices go UP,services DOWN.
Same goes for the publication in these books of 'must go there' 'must eat there' (if a hotel/guesthouse is listed in the LP did you know they must pay for the privilege?)
Their was once a wonderful warung in Legian-Warung Yogya- again this warung made 'the book'-I could not understand why, after using this warung since 2003, that people were queued up to sit until, yes, I discovered they were in 'the book'.
Their prices have definately gone up, the food has gone downhill.
Now if I were to lodge on this site some of my findings then it is most probable that the businesses of these findings would increase dramatically, to what point is open to conjecture.
So from posting on one website, possibly a forumite here lists on another website....and on..... where does it stop??
So?? all of a sudden business is booming, running out of stock??
Now I will say this which is my opinion of the Balinese now-they have become lazy(mainly the men) and they have become very greedy for money
If their shop becomes (more) popular than before what could I see them doing? Yes, go after the almighty buck and increase their prices to 'cash in' on their new found popularity.
I hope this clears the matter and I trust you will continue to enjoy Bali as you do.
