Stopover longer than 7 hours

Is it true that an airline should provide accommodation if a stopover is longer that a set time?
I am so sure that I read that here but can't find it...I have a 13 hour stopover in Brunei.
I know this is not strictly Bali travel, but might be of assistance to anyone en route to Bali too.
