This is the reason we always take cash with us and our ATM card for emergencies only. So far we have not had to use it over the many years we have travelled to Bali.We keep the cash in sealed envelopes in the hotel safe and have never had a problem and each time we take money out of the envelope we write down on it the amount remaining.
