This is a very beautiful place but don't just swim here, stay for lunch as well and really enjoy the serenity. Accommodation is heaven but do check the rates first as it is not exactly "Budget"!!! It is luxury and a real treat. It is a two hour drive or more from Kuta so leave early if you go for the day, but ideally you would stay in somewhere such as Amed if you want less expensive accom.
I stay four times a year at Double One Villas with my room directly on the beach. Around $50 US per room. There are many cheaper places as well tnat you can book into simply by driving up to their front door.
Many more people need to visit East and North East Bali as the people are so lovely but so greatly impoverished and the tourist dollar is so welcome. Do some research on the area and you will find a very special part of Bali
