I think it would be a hassle just getting from the boat ramp to Scallyawags,we walked to The Beach House next door to Scallywags and our luggage almost didnt make it.
Its quite a long way with luggage. It would be very hard to get a person in a wheel chair up into a Cidomo and its hard enough for pedestrians and push bike riders to get out of the way when a cidomo is coming in both directions given there is no pavements.
Almost all restaurant/bars have steps at the front or are on the soft sand beach. The barbecues are self pick and pay by weight and have to be ordered outside the restaurant on the main road and at a few places are on the opposite side of the road to the eating area.
Of course it can be done but depending on the disability (temporary or otherwise) it wont be an easy thing as there are no transport options available (if needed) other than Cidomo and push bike.
OP I think should look at all the clips on you tube of the main strip and also choose the "right" time of year to go.
We went in mid August and it was "very" busy, the week before we arrived they had heavy rain which flooded the main drag making it hard for people to even walk anywhere given the constant Cidomo traffic.
