that you have to be ten times more vigilant riding scooters around bali than you do here. i am an experienced bike rider and the level of awareness to ride on the roads there is way higher than here (oz), but because the road rules are more relaxed there people think they can race around like idiots, up footpaths, wrong way down streets, darting in and out of traffic all while under the influence. i am not saying this is the case here it may have just been a traggic accident, but with the congestion buliding up on the roads and little less patience because of that, then unfortunately we are going to start hearing a lot more stories simliar to this
