I found this info in the archives from 2008 so not sure if it is still current.
Bali Red Cross Mobile Blood Bank is a service set up and assisted by by Rotary International. "Rotarians purchased and outfitted a refrigerated blood bank after the 2002 terrorist bombing. " in Bali.
The unit collect, test, and store the blood. Blood can only be stored for 35 days so every donation is crucial in saving lives.
The ambulance also travels to other parts of Indonesia in times of national disaster. E.g. The earthquakes which hit Java. http://www.rotary.org/newsroom/features/07..._immediate.html
To donate blood in Bali ring, Meta, co-ordinator, on 223136 or Dr Sudiwah, director, on same number.
