There have been recent posts about rates of duty on alchohol in excess of your duty free allowance.
If you google "indonesian Customs Declaration Form" you will see a link to Asiatour.com where you can see the actual form.
On item 12 "More than 200 cigarettes or 50 cigars or 100 grams sliced tobacco or 1 litre of liquor? **"
The two asterists refer to the notes on the bottom of the form!
Against item 12 it says "SHALL BE DESTOYED UNDER CUSTOMS CONTROL"
As I have said before - declare your excess and if you are are to make a contribution then consider yourself lucky! But the form clearly says that if you are carrying more than 1 litre it will be destroyed.
I think people may be getting mixed up with import duty and taxes on commercial quantities by licenced importers!
