Have just found out that the transaction I did was refused as the bank has put the wrong account name in and the money has been returned to Australia with costs taken out of it. It is $55.00 US dollars short of what I sent. I paid on top of that the bank fee here also. I am not happy but partly to blame as the teller asked me to check all the details and make sure they were correct. Neither I nor her noticed the account name was different to the name of the hotel - we were both blind as it is there now that I have rechecked. I am not happy and now will have to resend it making up the difference I have been robbed of in costs for the return and possibly pay another sending fee....the bank did say they would discuss that with me when I came in...
so be careful - check and double check if using this method of payment. (or any method for that matter)
