Have just spent the past two weeks in Bali with two Coeliacs (husband and brother-in-law) Neither had a problem. Took with us a translation card which laid out exactly what they couldn't eat. Most food was not a problem, but kept away from anything that had soysauce in it, also asked for sauces to be served on the side. Most restaurants were happy to suggest what foods were GF..those that didnt...we walked out of.
Hubby took a couple of frozen loaves of GF bread with him which we kept in hotel fridge, also packet of rice cakes and some GF snack bars..just in case.Satays were 'safe' as were meals like Cap Cay and Gado Gado....just check each time. The local curry dishes seemed fine too. Enjoy your holiday...can't wait to get back there.
