Hi - we are planning 19 nights in Bali July 2011 for 2 adults and 2 teenager daughters. Originally we wanted a villa in Seminyak for proximity to shopping, surf etc (husband is a very keen surfer) but the prices were over double what I expected. So i have been researching Sanur which i visited pre children many years ago. Lovely spot i thought! My husband is not very happy with the idea as he says it will be too windy in July and i am pretty sure there is no surf there at that time of year. It is a 1/3 of the price of a villa in Seminyak so i figure for the difference we can rent a car if he wants to go surfing. What is Sanur like these days and would teenagers still enjoy it as much as Seminyak (they will be 16 & 14)?
