Hi I took my optus locked mobile and used while there this year. Optus was very clear to me that the credits I get towards call each month would not be applied to international calls. As part of my package i get $150 free calls per month but he said that would not be offset against internationsl calls.
When you call only you pay at the international call rate for your carrier but when you receive to your mobile from Austalia you pay for that also at the internaitonal rate. That is my understanding from what as I was told and the size of my bill. Cheers
