I just thought I would let anyone who is interested know there are new rules regarding children staying at Puri Damai. Children aged between 2 - 16 years are no longer accepted and this has been added to the terms and conditions of booking. I thought people who have stayed here with kids in the past may like to know as you will have to find somewhere else to stay if they are between those ages.

I asked management about it (after I saw some kids being told off and kicked out of the pool) and they said that they had had enough of having to discipline other peoples children who were misbehaving, being too loud and not being supervised by parents.

I was told that because they are such a small place, their aim is to have a quiet and relaxing establishment and it has not been that way for over a year apparently so they introduced the new rule this year (although they are honouring bookings made last year prior to the new rule).

This is the first time I have stayed here and I must say they are very strict! A couple were evicted last week for coming back drunk at about 1am... I've never seen that happen in Bali before, but I can't say I think it is a bad thing, and yes I do like a drink or three myself.
:)
