the pools are going to be about the same temperature in ubud, unless Tegal Sari's pool is often shaded. We stayed at Kebun Indah early this month. I liked it because it was really nice, great staff etc, but had a budget price. The pool is quite deep, but there are a few steps to get there.
Also stayed at Alam Indah, poool was great, beautiful place, more expensive than Kebun. Staff were excellent at both places, & will take you anywhere in ubud free of charge. Pools at both places were in sun most of the time, but weren't as warm as pool in Kuta.
