This was a great trip organised as part of a celebration of hubby's 50th.....we had aslo been in June with kids so this was just us and 3 other couples. ( and a tag along son !!)
So one couple flew out just before us and stayed at the Jayakarta, then 2 couples ( and tag along son flew AA on the 28th and the last couple with Strategic on the 29th.
The tag along son stayed at the TUNE hotel in 66 for the duration but spent a lot of time with his folks and us at Puri Damai. The room he had was very small but neat and clean. Def worth a look if you need somewhere for a short stay.
The last couple to arrive had 3 nights at Puri Damai then had to find alternative accomm and had one night at Su's at the corner near Kamal Pantai ( found their room too noisy with traffic) then moved to Vill Pisang Mas to a little tiny one bed 'villa'...so cute it looked like Gilligans Island !!
As PD was so heavily booked we also had to move for a night in the middle and spent a lovely night at The Amala Villas on Jln Kunti...very mod very Japanese oriented, very private spa villa.
Even our friends who stayed at PD the whole 10 nights had to move apartments halfway through.
All in all a great trip with much celebrating to be had !!
We had a few issues with noise at PD...mostly ours !!...well actually we met a family with small kids who had been told off for too much noise in the pool during the day !! then another group across from us got told off for loud music in the early evening...in our instance we were asked to turn music down at about 4pm....it wasn't loud but there were about 9 of us at our friend's apartment at the time, just sitting around talking and having a few drinks.Anyway the music went off...our choice I guess but it did spoil it a bit.!!??
Now let me say that I am probably the old fuddy dudddy of the group...I am always concerned about upsetting other people but it did seem that there were only a minority
