Indonesia and Australia have announced they will increase the number of flights between the two countries from the current 118 per week.
Transportation Minister Freddy Numberi said Tuesday that Indonesia and Australia had almost reached their maximum flight number target and that a follow-up discussion was needed, tempointeraktif.com reported.
Australian Ambassador to Indonesia Bill Farmer said the plan was made 'to meet the needs of customers in both countries'.
In addition, Indonesia and Australia would also cooperate to improve security at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang, Banten, and Ngurah Rai Airport in Denpasar, Bali, said Farmer.
