They both just have the B211 on the visa in the passport & the same 60 day validity.
Conflicting reports on whether the tourist visa should be extended ..but..
it is extended regularly by many who are living in Bali.
As it's a 211 all that is needed after the 60 days is a sponsor.
Then the process becomes exactly the same as a social visa re extending up until 6 months.
An agent in Bali can do this for a person & thus acts as their sponsor.
Cost is the same as a social visa per month
Even with a Social visa you are able to change your first sponsor if you wish when you renew (though it's probably best not to)
If in fact it is supposedly illegal to extend the tourist visa then perhaps they need to change the number so as to differentiate between social & tourist (as it used to be prior to this current change in 2006)
