Hi Nicki,Im also on the 3 network and I had my phone unlocked last Aug, they gave me a series of numbers to type into the phone which unlocks the phone.
Once in Bali I went to the 3rd level of Discovery mall to a mobile phone booth and they just simply put a Bali sim into the phone and hey presto it works,however my phone wasn't an Iphone.
