Exactly Right. No different in Bali to Aus as far as other diners are concerned from that point of view. However - previous posts are correct. The balinese will make a fuss of your children and you will have far more support than you would here with restaurant staff.
If I am out having "adult" time, I don't appreciate an uncontrolled child - however, if parents at least make the effort to ask if I am OK with it - makes all the difference. (As long as they don't think I am the babysitter - been there/done that raising two of my own).
