a couple of years ago in the departure lounge at Bangkok Airport, she told me that her husband had been the victim of a bag snatch in KL. Her husband was on the same flight and situated down the back where they lay the last three rows flat for medical evacuations. (They had to fly from KL to BKK as that was the only flight the insurance company could get them on) Apparently her husband kept hold of the bag and was dragged along and smashed his head on the road during which he suffered a major brain trauma. Two brain ops later in KL and sadly he was left with a paralysis and no speech and I often wonder how they are going. They were a couple in their late 60's early 70's and was enjoying their holiday up untill then.
Since then we make a point of whoever is on the inside of the path carries the bag... there is nowt in it anyway, only hand wipes, Aeroguard and a torch, the robber would be very disgruntled with his snatch.
I'm only glad you weren't injured in the bag snatch... it could have been a lot lot worse.
