It is just common sense.
Pay in USD and it is clearly quicker and less hassle than paying in other currencies (which has no official sanction by the way)
Go into a shop and pay $1.60 for a $1.60 transaction and see if its quicker than paying with a $10 note and waiting for the change.
You mention three adults travelling together...take the USD200 minimum option, and this will do you for three or four trips.
All the Govt. advisories and travel agencies advise to pay in USD.
I have never seen an officially sanctioned list of acceptable currencies (and applicable rates), certainly not on websites OR at DPS airport.
The more people who slow things up using all sorts of different currencies, the slower it will get.
Plays into the hands of the VIP service providers......so on second thoughts go for it.
