The Good.... The friendliness of MOST of the Balinese people.
The great people (forgive me if i forget some names)we met at SBV... BloodyRon,Irma,Kormang,Eggy,Jimmy,Rick,Colesy,Sharon & Greg, Gael & Billy,Maddi,Gill & Gary & Chloe,Trudy & Hubby,Gary.
These guys where a real hoot & so very helpful to us on our first trip to Bali.
The kindness shown to my sister by PJ the tattooist, when my sister fell ill at his studio. He organised for transport back to our villa & made sure she was not ripped off in her unwell state.
THE BAD.... gladly not too much to report on this.
Being sworn at by a shopkeeper because i refused to pay 700 000rph for 9 bintang singlets.
2 taxis charged my sister double the cab fare for same journey i took numerous times.
THE UGLY.... Our son had been at Paddys & caught a taxi from there to Febris Hotel...a 20000-25000rph fare & the driver wanted 200000rph.
Our son refused to pay & offered 50000rph(twice the rate).
Taxi driver wasnt happy & started getting aggresive with yelling & pushing.
Our son walked off toward his hotel & was then chased by driver who wanted to fight. He was physically escorted off the hotel property by the hotels security.
So all in all, not too much to complain about. We all had a wonderful time, met wonderful people & will definately be returning to Bali.
