Beemay, believe me, I have tried every combination to work out flying from Melbourne to Perth to get these cheap airfares, but it doesn't work! Tiger are the cheapest airline, but unreliable. They only have one flight a day to Perth, and if they cancel that, we would miss our connecting flight. So I thought about going the day before, but then we are up for accomodation in Perth. Also I would want to bring back 30 kgs luggage, but that would be with Air Asia to Perth. I couldn't bring 30kgs back to Melbourne from Perth as it would be over the 20kgs luggage limit, so I would be charged.
All too hard for me! I've just booked my flights for next year to Bali -business class with Garuda. Bugger it, we'll go in style!
