Will be cancelled by the credit card company ie Visa, if they suspect
Fraudulent activity.
If you notify your bank that you are going overseas and will be using your credit card overseas, doesn't that make it harder to track fraudulent activity?
A friend had his card cancelled by Visa whilst overseas due to suspicious activity.
He only knew the reason it was cancelled by Visa when he returned to Australia in the form of a letter from visa fraud department.
This was great except it was his only source of funds at the time,he had put his own cash into his visa card.
I had to send him money and it took a long time for "Him to prove" it wasn't spent by him, this had to be done on his return to Australia.
I would only use a credit card in Asia for an emergency.
With the amount of ATM skimmers about I would only use cash or travelers cheques overseas.
