I missed out meeting Djajani.
The Rajah had various photographs on the wall of his meetings with Queen Wilhemenia and Queen Juliana of the Netherlands. He was rather fond of "the Company" as the Indonesians sometimes refer to their old colonial master. He told me that it would take me five years to learn Balinese and only only one year to learn Indonesian. I can now speak Indonesian but I have never mastered Balinese.
One character I met at Agung Homestay in about 1981 was an Australian medical doctor from Sydney and his wife and young son. He claimed to be an ex-builders labourer and BLF official. I do not remember his name.
