We have stayed at Jayakarta many times, both in apartments and the rooms in the 300 block. I strongly suggest that unless you have booked a privately owned apt at jayakarta, that you contact the hotel and ask for interconnecting rooms in the 300 block. It is close to the pools (the round pool is at the end of this block), restaurant and beach. The 3 children could easily be in one room and you in the other. Keep the children's door locked, the interconnecting door open and use your front door for all entry and exits. As someone else said, you then get 2 tvs, bathrooms etc. We were very disappointed with the hotel owned apartments and the last time we had booked one, we actually upgraded to a suite in the 300 block. The apartments are a couple of minutes away from pools etc and can be a pain if you forget something. They are also too far away to let the kids go back there by themselves as they are right at the front entrance to the property and closer to the road.

Apart from that, the Jayakarta is in a fantastic location, close to some great restaurants (just out the front on the beach road) and shopping is close by. The 3 pools are lovely and you'll get to meet some wonderful Balinese people out the front on the beach. Watch the sunset from Franks Bar on the beach - it's a wonderful experience.
