The post by Gary D is not strictly true as air asia runs basically as a franchise airline and there are currently 4 divisions of the company being AirAsia X,Air Asia Malaysia and also Air Asia indonesia and Thai so it will depend on which "company" is actually operating the flight you are on what is the basic currency of the goods they sell you I.E Ringgit,Rupiah or Thai Baht.
Some routes have planes from more than one "company" flying them.
