You must pay for all drinks on Air Asia whether coffee, tea, soft drinks or beer. All drinks are priced in Ringgits and change is only given in Ringgits. They will change $A at the poor rate of $A1 = 2 Ringgits.
In January, I paid 10 Ringgits for a can of Carlsberg beer. That was the only beer available.
A cup of milk tea made from a tea bag cost 5 Ringgits.
