That is probably because of the timing of your flights. From Sydney with Garuda lands with 3 other planes just landed. I have waited for 3 hours on couple of occasions but last time used VIP VOA & was out of the airport in the time it took to drink 2 glasses of Bintang. You just cannot generalise.
