thanks everyone for your replies. Now I'm a bit concerned about the time issue. These flights were booked through Qantas frequent flyer, so I just assumed that was the only option for times. There were no direct Syd-Denp seats available on that day, so we had the option of going via Melbourne or Darwin I think. Maybe I should give Jetstar a call...
