That would explain why the mention of Air Paradise leaves a bad taste in our TAs mouth. He says they cost him $10,000.
After having tickets with Compass (covered by travel insurance THEN), and tickets with Ansett (covered by Visa) I take the threat of cancelled flights VERY seriously. Even if I have the money in the bank, I pay by Visa and that extra 1.5% for visa insurance. How long Visa will honour this remains to be seen.
Well done for the enlightenment. I just may use the TA more often in the future.
