Got to keep your eye on the notes.

The moneychanger behind Jocelyn shoes tried to 'drop' 400 000 rup behind the counter after I counted it. Everytime I count a pile I ask them not to touch the notes again, but this character was all hands. I was changing Au$300 so around 2 400 000 rup, so he thought he had a chance to skim. I counted them again and showed him the 1 mil. pile was actually only 600 000, and I told him I saw what he did and picked up my aussie notes, and told him I would tell people about him, and I then left. Also, a couple of moneychangers about 50metres from the beach end of Poppies II only had 20 000 notes. The first one I thought, 'ello game on here. He counted the notes out, put them together in a pile for me to take, but some slipped behind the counter, so I told him what happened and I said 'I bet there's a few short in that pile', so he wouldn't let me count them. So I took my money and left. The guy a couple down had a good rate, so I went in and asked if they had 50 000 notes, I was told no only 20's so I said No thanks I'm not going through that again and left. So did the guy who was about to be served, as he'd gone through the same deal a little while before. Sorry this is long, but I got fed up with the few bad apples. A couple even tried holding back a commision even when it said no commission on the sign. I did tip well while we were there (back on Wed nite after 10 days) and quite heavily at times, but only when I knew I wasn't being duped, and when someone really needed/deserved the big tip.
