OK, I am embarrassed to admit I was ripped off especially as I warn anyone who cares to listen to be so carefull and double check before handing over a 10,000 rp note to make sure its not a 100,000 rp note due to the colour similarity. Dennisc had even warned me about the money changer in the airconditioned travel agent/money changer in the alleyway leading up to Secret Garden off Poppies 1.
I thought I knew better as I have used and trusted this money changer on other trips and numerous times this recent trip but was given rp 10,000 amongst 50,000 instead of 100,000. When I went back they of course denied it.
Its my fault for being complacent and chatting to them as I trusted them and let my gaurd down. I was leaving for a few days in Sanur and they thought I wouldnt be back, they also promised door to door shuttle service and wrote it on my receipt but of course that was false too. So they have lost me as a customer but conned my hard earned $$ out of me, so I guess they win.
