I was planning to take a larger sum of money next month then what i usually take to avoid ATM fees. But after reading posts below re money going missing from room safes i am now not sure what to do either. I have found a few ATMs from this forum where you can take out 3 million rupiah at a time. I thought i might just use these to help save a few fees. Would still like to take cash but not sure how i feel about leaving it in the room safe as our hotel doesn not have them at reception. I think with the cash passport you also have to pay to set it up as well as close it, not sure if i would ever bother with one of them.
