About 18 months ago we went to Bali with friend- when they went through immigration, they got taken aside because the 6 months was up before they left to come back to Aust.(O.K going into Bali) .Nothing was said when they left Australia.
But they were taken to "the room" where they were told "you must pay us 100.000rp or go back to Australia".Not a lot of choice there.
l am not really sure what the law is but l would not give them the chance to charge you extra.
