whether it is cheaper or not depends on where you are buying your USD, looks like you are paying too much. My neighbour just paid $72 for USD 50 at Travelex. That works out at Rp290,000 each.
I would never use airport money changers, they are a rip-off and so I take no notice of their rates. Take a look at a reputable bank's or money changer's exchange for a proper comparison of buy and sell.
