many tourists/travellers to Bali do not eat pork because of religious reasons (Muslims for example) The hotel (and many others)was only doing it's due dilligence by informing it's patrons that a "pork item" was served so they don't take it by mistake.
I doubt very much that the bacon you had was from a "wild pig".
That sounds like a real porky!
