I paid $1250 on China Air from San Francisco over New Year's, when fares were very high. You might be able to find $1000-1200 including fees now. Kayak is great--you can search by when the fares are cheap versus specific dates.
Singapore and Cathay are excellent, but generally higher priced. Emirates definitely flies to Indonesia. It is worth looking at the various connection options and stopover, since you're coming so far.
