Log on to Kayak.com and you will see a lot of different options. Some people I am travelling with this month are on China Airlines via Taiwan. There are also flights on one of the Middle Eastern airlines, mabye Qatar. Keep in mind that Air Asia, a budget carrier, services Bali and has flights from Kuala Lumpur and mabye from other hub cities too. They don't show up on Kayak.com, so you will have to piece together a flight from kayak and from the Air Asia website.
My friends got flights for under a thousand dollars. Mabye it is higher in the summer, but I hope you can get something for much less than 1800-1900!
