Im guessing everyone knows the agent Im talking about, its just that Im not allowed to use the name in full.
Just need to make everyone aware of an experience we have had here in bali when we arrived last week.
I had made 3 different bookings, one with hoteltravel.com and 2 with a---rooms.com. Well when we arrived on Saturday the booking was no problem with that we had made with hoteltravel.com, and they had the confirmation fax from them, that they showed me on arrival. But they had no booking from the two separate bookings that I had made with a---rooms.com. The sub agent (the middle man)hadnt contacted the hotel via fax with a confirmation. So we had to make a new booking and were to pay the hotels usual rate. Which meant we had to gamble paying twice and hoping that they could confirm the booking when offices were open the following day.
As it turned out one of them was confirmed the next day but the second one was confirmed the day after that because a---rooms.com had used two separate sub agents and the second one wasnt open till Monday.
Also I had an agreement that my daughter who was 11 was going to get her breakfast included in the price, but the hotel had no record of that.
I have used a---rooms previously, some time ago, and not had any problem but was very disappointed and fustrated when we arrived at 10.30pm Bali time, (our bodies still in Melb time 1.30am)and told there was only 1 booking. The kids were deliriously tired and we just wanted to sleep. So had no choice but to book in under the hope it would all be cleared.
Sorry I had to drag this story out but want everyone to maybe confirm with hotel before arrival when booking with a---rooms.com.
And also we are having a fabulous time now and have nearly forgotten about the whole drama.
