We have only flown Jetstar to Bali and we find them ok.

I've been checking Jetstar daily for flights 26/12/09- 9/01/10 but the Jetsaver direct fares are not out yet (MEL-DPS) At the mo they are showing 'sold out' but from experience watching for Jetstar flights it means they are not yet loaded into the system. Strangely enough, Jetsaver fares via Darwin are out for both directions.

Virgin Blue flights for the same dates are out. However, the flight to Bali is via Brissie and it gets you there at a decent time in the afternoon. The down side is you have to get up at sparrows fart in order to catch the plane... normally, this wouldn't bother us but we don't want to compromise Christmas Day with our family.

Our preference is Jetstar because of the seating configuration which has 2 seats either side of the middle row. Virgin is 3 x 3.

We recently had a bad experience with Virgin and my husband and I ended up in different rows. I don't want that to happen on a 6 hour flight.

Cheers Geri
